Travelling through many cities of Europe and observing in them the comforts and education of even the poor people, there was brought to my mind the state of our own poor people, and I used to shed tears. What made the difference? Education was the answer I got.” This Mission is a vechicle to propagate and practice the teachings of Swami Vivekananda.

Why a Teacher Training College

The status of the teacher reflects the socio-cultural ethos of a society; it is said that no people can rise above the level of their teachers,” thus commented the National Policy on Education ,1986. In the above context, the necessity of preparing teachers of character and devotion ,following the footsteps of the great educators of the country can never be disputed. The NCTE, which has been vested with statutory authority for achieving planned and coordinated development of the teacher education system throughout the country , has rightly observed, “The role of teachers is crucial in any programme of education.

We should have well – qualified teachers who have not only academic and professional competencies of high order, but also earnest responsibility and commitment to strive constantly to raise student learning, capability and achievement, and make them increasingly autonomous and self –actualizing persons.”
